MUSE frontman MATT BELLAMY has been bombarded by disturbing letters from fans threatening to kill themselves unless he sleeps with them.
The British singer has been inundated with messages from obsessed female admirers, who have managed to get hold of his personal phone number and email address.
And although the 29-year-old doesn’t mind the complimentary notes, he has been upset by a number of women who have made worrying suicide threats.
He says, “I was getting some serious amounts of stuff, people saying that they were going to kill themselves unless I f**k them.
“I can’t think of anything more attractive than someone wanting to have sex with who you are on stage.”

Hi there. Hope you’re all doing well. Apologies for the slightly affected Microcuts clip that went up over the weekend. It was a test edit with erroneous compression that caused some issues with the sound quality and synch. Thanks for pointing it out and pulling it apart! It should be much better enjoyed now. Microcuts was filmed on Saturday as opposed to Sunday – where we had all the spangly extra cameras used in the DVD. We thought you might like a taste of Saturday, it is more raw than Sunday, but we only had a few cameras on stage and some people with handheld cameras in the pit! All the best.

As the hallowed environs of the Royal Albert Hall trembled in anticipation for Muse’s sci-fi neo-prog, bassist Chris Wolstenholme spoke exclusively to Xfm about their plans for next album and who’s turning them on musically.

The good news for Muse fans is that the Devon behemoth is already planning for the next album, with the band considering taking hold of the production reigns themselves.

Wolstenholme explained: “‘Supermassive Blackhole’ was full on electronic, it was such a departure for us but it really worked. It was the first time we got really involved with the gear side of things ourselves.

“Before that we had to tell a producer “we want some kind of synth thing” but I think we’re going to try and start [producing the next album] ourselves. It opens up a whole more experimental stuff that we can now do. But if it all goes tits up then we’ll get someone else in!”

Though remaining coy as to what fans should expect from Muse at their double-headlining slot at this year’s V Festival, the bassist said: “That’s the one big show that we’re doing this year so I’m sure that it’ll be pretty spectacular but I’m not sure what as it’s quite a way off.”

Wolstenholme also revealed Muse’s fondness for a certain up’n'coming Scottish band: “Glasvegas; we’re all sort of generally into them…we’ve heard a few tracks and we think they’re going to be pretty huge.”

Muse headline the sold out V Festival on August 16 and 17 in Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire.

Muse are pleased to confirm that they will be playing at Rock In Rio this summer on 6th June.

The Festival takes place at Cidade Do Rock in Lisbon on the 30 and 31st March and 1st, 5th and 6th June.

Muse will be playing on the 6th June along with Linkin Park, The Offspring and Kaiser Chiefs. Tickets are available from the Rock In Rio website.

Phil Edit: I’ve given Petrock2000’s version on Dime and it has a better overall sound. Less distant and bassy. I’d go for that one if I were you. Thanks to SOUSOUS though for yet another Muse recording. I haven’t been able to properly determine which sounds best but for me Petrock2000’s recording is tidier.
