2007-06-09 Isle of Wight Festival

The Isle of Wight Festival is renowned for always having such great headline acts such as Coldplay, The Who, David Bowie, Foo Fighters and Many More!! Yet again this year they delivered, Muse headlined Saturday night and what a performance it was, sparkling lights, flames, giant video screens and that is without mentioning Muse’s actual performance – it looked amazing!! They opened with the incredible Knights of Cydonia leading onto Hysteria. Later in the set creeped in three songs one after the other all played on the piano, Hoodoo, Apocalypse Please and Feeling Good. (I wish they would bring Sunburn back in the set more)

Review (guardian.co.uk):
Muse have risen from faintly silly prog-rockers to utterly preposterous, stadium-filling prog-rockers, largely on the basis of their phenomenal live abilities. On Saturday night, against a backdrop of endless plains, computer code and scenes of war, they barely pause between songs, disrupting their wailing choruses with eruptions of guitar noise and rippling basslines, confirming their brilliantly realised ambition.

Right, now for the bootleg info…thanks to Joefish who captured the whole of the Isle of Wight footage and posted it to PureLiveGigs.com he done an amazing job like always. It is a DVB-S stream rip so it goes without saying the quality is excellent. The recording etc was done without any re-encoding, what you saw on TV is what you get with the download.
